Profile – Prof. Kwaku Atuahene – Gima
Kwaku Atuahene-Gima is Founding President & Executive Dean of Nobel International Business School (NIBS) in Accra, Ghana. Prior to founding NIBS in October 2014, he was Professor of Innovation Management & Marketing at the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in Shanghai for nearly 10 years; during which time he was also the Founding Executive Director of CEIBS Africa Campus in Accra, Ghana for five years. He was the Department Chair of Marketing at CEIBS for 4 years and Founding Director of the Centre for Marketing & Innovation funded by Dow Chemical. In June 2006, he was an invited faculty participant in executive education on innovation at the Harvard Business School. He taught at the Queensland University of Technology, Australia and at the City University of Hong Kong, where he was Department Chair of Management for 4 years, a role in which he managed the Department in the transition from a Polytechnic to a University, and served as the founding director of the Centre for Innovation Management and Organizational Change.
An award winning international scholar, Kwaku is ranked the Number 2 innovation management scholar in the world. He was appointed a member of the international expert panel for the Russian Science Foundation (RSF) in November 2015. Kwaku is the first, and to date, the only African scholar ever to have served on the Editorial Review Board of the American Journal of Marketing, the world’s leading marketing journal (July 2006 – June 2014). He has received an award as the Best Professor in Marketing and Innovation Management at Asia’s Best Business Schools Awards by CMO in Singapore. He has won several research awards including the 2014 Best paper published in the Journal of Product Innovation Management, the world’s leading journal in innovation management; multiple Best Paper awards at the American Marketing Association Conferences, and the Best Paper in innovation and technology for his paper published in the American Journal of Marketing in October 2005. He won the Outstanding Reviewer Award of the Journal Marketing in 2007. He is on the Senior Advisory and Editorial Review Board of the Journal of Product Innovation Management, and the European Journal of Marketing and on the review panel of several other academic journals. Several of his PhD students are Professors and researchers in leading Universities and companies.
He is an Adjunct Professor of Innovation at Mannheim Business School and Frankfurt School of Finance & Management both in Germany where he teaches innovation management and entrepreneurship in the EMBA program and company executive programs. Dr. Livingstone Caesar is an Assistant Professor of Management and Organizational Behavior at Nobel International Business School (NiBS). He is also the Director of the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) Program at NiBS. He has extensive experience in lecturing at the graduate and undergraduate levels in Australia and Ghana. He holds a PhD in Management and Commerce from the University of Tasmania – Australia and has a Master of Science in Shipping and Transport from the Netherlands Maritime University, Rotterdam. Prior to joining NiBS, Dr. Caesar served as a lecturer and research assistant at the Australian Maritime College. He also worked as a consultant to government parastatals in Australia.
Dr. Caesar has taught as Adjunct Professor in notable universities in Ghana and has also been a reviewer for key journals such as Marine Policy, Universal Journal of Management, Maritime Policy and Management, among others. Dr. Jenster is Professor and Chairman of the Nordic International Management Institute, Chengdu China, and of Strategic Management with the Centre for International Management & Industrial Development, Switzerland and formerly professor at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), Shanghai. He was Professor of International Marketing & Strategy at Copenhagen Business School (CBS) for more than sixteen years, and served as Associate Dean for the CBS’s MBA programs. Prof. Jenster is also Professor of the Nobel International Business School, Accra, Ghana.
His award winning research is widely published in more than 140 articles, books and case studies.

Dr. Dail Fields is a Professor of Organizational Leadership. He currently teaches and serves as the director of the NIBS Ph.D. in Business Administration Program. Dr. Fields also serves as a Senior Research Scientist with the Institute for Behavioral Research at the University of Georgia. He has published over 50 research studies and book chapters, as well as a reference book on measurement of work related variables. Dr. Fields was a Fulbright Scholar based in Lithuania in 2006-2007. He also provides consulting services in applied statistics, management, and leadership development, business and government organizations.
Dr. Fields has been a guest lecturer and speaker for professional organizations and universities in Lithuania, Russia, China, Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong.
Prior to joining NIBS, He was the program director of the Ph.D in Organisational Leadership at Regent University, USA. Dr. Fields served on the faculties of George Washington University and the City University of Hong Kong. He also has management and consulting experience with firms which include MCI Telecommunications Corp. and Deloitte Touche & Co. and entrepreneurial experience gained in starting a small business.

Frederick Ahwireng-Obeng is a tenured full professor of Business Administration (Economics). He holds a BSc (Honours) degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Ghana, and a PhD in Economics from the University of Leeds, UK. Between 1973 and 1977 he was a project officer of the Agricultural Development Bank and Regional business Promotion Representative of the Ghanaian Enterprises Development Commission. During this period he consulted extensively for the World Bank and the International Labour Organisation. After completing his doctoral studies in 1981, he taught Economics at a number of Universities in Nigeria and South Africa before joining the Department of Economics, University of the Witwatersrand as Senior Lecturer in 1990. He joined the Wits Business School in 1995 as a full professor. Professor Ahwireng-Obeng has published widely, locally and internationally including the UK, USA, France, Canada, the Netherlands, and Australia in the field of Development Economics, Entrepreneurship and Small Business. His teaching interests include Personnel Economics and the Economics of Strategy. He was a visiting scholar at the University of Indiana, USA in 1999, and a visiting professor at the Brisbane Business School, Queensland University of Technology in 2000. He was awarded a gold medal by the SA Association of Business Managers for publishing the best paper in the South African Journal of Business Management in 2001. Founding President Emeritus of NIMI, Professor of Organizational Behavior and Leadership Professor Howard Ward worked at CEMI and CEIBS from 1984 to 2010 as a founding member of the Executive Education Department and specialized in the design and delivery of Company Specific Programs. Prior to working with CEIBS, Professor Ward was employed full-time by Manchester Business School. He is also visiting faculty at business schools in France, Spain, Italy and Russia. Recently, Professor Ward, jointly with his two colleagues from CEIBS, Professor PerJenster and Wouldem Burgers, founded the Nordic International Management Institute (NIMI) in Chengdu.Professor Howard Ward specialized in the design and delivery of Company Specific Programs. His teaching activities are in the field of managing change, organizational behavior, leadership, cross-cultural teambuilding and human resources. This involves working with key companies on the design, delivery, evaluation and follow-up assignments for a wide range of customized training solutions for in-company management education and development.
