Dr Edward Owusu-Manu Jnr is a project manager/supply chain expert with over 20 years of experience in the energy and construction industry’s contracting, project management, logistics, and supply chain. Edward currently manages operations in the upstream oil and gas industry.

Dr Owusu-Manu Jnr is the Supply Chain Manager for Pecan Energies Ghana Limited. Pecan Energies is the Operator of the Pecan Field in Ghana. Before joining Pecan Energies (previously Aker Energy), he was the Supply Chain Manager for Tullow Ghana Limited. He joined Tullow from the UK, working for CH2M Hill (now Jacobs) as a Senior Commercial Advisor.

As a Supply Chain Manager, he is responsible for the procurement and administration of the goods and services for the Pecan Project. This comprises the FPSO, drilling rig, drilling services, subsea, logistics, and corporate services, and it has an annual spending of millions of USD (dollars).
As a chartered quantity surveyor by profession, Edward has worked on multi-billion projects with reputable companies and prestigious projects in various international locations. His experience in supply chain and project management covers building construction, infrastructure, power and oil and gas.

As a contracts expert, Dr Owusu-Manu has managed teams and helped achieve targets for high-value contracts, including the London 2012 Olympics and the Tullow TEN Project, where he worked as a Senior Commercial Advisor and a Contracts & Procurement Manager, respectively. He has several years of experience working on major projects across Europe, Asia and Africa. With a record of managing large teams, being proactive, innovative, and highly self-motivated, he has been part of the team’s achieving targets on time and within cost. Dr Owusu-Manu possesses excellent commercial and negotiation skills and is wildly self-confident.

Dr. Owusu-Manu holds a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) and a Master’s in Applied Business Research (MABR) from the Swiss Business School, Zurich. He specialised in local content policies and their impact on society for his doctorate.
He obtained a Master’s degree in Construction (Project) Management from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, UK and a bachelor’s degree in building technology at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology.

He is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with the Royal Institution of Surveyors (UK) and the Ghana Institution of Surveyors. Dr. Owusu-Manu will be the moderator for the topic, Sustainability and ESG-New Environment for Future Value Creation and Growth, on the 13th of March 2024 at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel.
