Program Overview

The Ph.D. program offered by NiBS is designed to improve the quality of business education. It is designed to adequately prepare candidates to pursue careers in a university and polytechnic setting as full-time faculty members where research and teaching will be their primary focus. The program has a focus on new theory and knowledge development with a heavy emphasis on a variety of research methodologies and publication.

Admission Requirement
  • Master or MPhil Degree in Management, Business, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Supply-Chain Management, Organizational Behaviour, Economics, Business Law, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Strategy, Project Management, Human Resource Management, Leadership, Management, Public Administration, and Information Systems management.
  • Applicants must attain a minimum GPA of 2.75 to be admitted.
  • Applicants with a professional accounting qualification, e.g., ICAG, ACCA, CIMA, etc., in addition to a non-research EMBA, a non-business-related MBA, MA, or MSc from an accredited university/college with a minimum 3.0 CGPA, will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
