Reporting to the President, the Alumni & Corporate Partners Relationship Manager
provides strategic direction and operational activities to ensure a rewarding and
impactful experience for alumni and corporate partners. The manager will build
partnerships with alumni, companies, and organizations to effectively meet the
University’s strategic goals by engaging them to play a significant role in the
University’s life as volunteers, event participants, ambassadors, mentors,
employers and donors.
Job Description
Management of Alumni and Partners Programs
- Develop an annual strategic plan to grow the relationship through diverse
and inclusive programs. - Build relationships with impactful engagement opportunities.
- Steward relationships with alumni and partners through personal
outreach, group events, and traveling to conduct in-person visits. - Manage all communications related to affinity programs with alumni and
partners, creating content for social media channels. - Maintain budget oversight for all assigned program areas.
- Provide regular statistical reports on the status of program areas.
2. Event Planning & Implementation
- Communicate with key stakeholders regarding their participation in and/or
attendance at events, both on and off campus, and coordinate schedules
accordingly. - Create a standard workflow for executing events from start to close-out
reporting. - Write content and build event registration pages and emails using the
Alumni Association’s email marketing platform. - Maintain and update the website’s alumni and partnership web pages.
- Maintain meticulous records of attendees and ensure proper post-event
reporting.
3. Function as a member of the Alumni and Partner Relations team
- Plan and implement events and other initiatives based on our strategic
priorities. - Collaborate with the other units and department partners to execute
strategies that maximize program success. - Work closely with the alumni association to properly market and support
alumni events. - Serve as liaison between the team and the marketing team, sharing
insights and best practices for successful activities. - Represent the Alumni Association at the NiBS, community, and professional
functions, as requested. - Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time, within the scope of
the job and aligned with the mission and vision of the university. - Essential position requirements are experience in relationship management,
knowledge and awareness of best practices related to alumni and partnership
engagement and fund raising, company specific training program proposal
writing, understanding of the engagement process, strong project management
skills, proven interpersonal and organizational skills, data analysis experience,
and successful results within long and short-range plan implementation. - University degree or professional qualifications with at least 5 years of evidence-
based experience in this or a related area.
Preferred Requirements
- A NiBS alumnus with knowledge of NiBS history and its programs and
priorities is preferred. - Open to consider performance pay and bonuses
- Flexible work schedule with some weekend travel and evening hours required
