Today was a historic day at the NiBS Doctoral Graduation Ceremony, as 52 deserving students were formally welcomed into the ranks of academic greatness with degrees such as PhD, DBA, and DBL. The speech, “Thriving Under Emerging Economic Opportunity: The Role of Artificial Intelligence,” highlighted how AI will revolutionize science and technology in the years to come.
The day of reflection and motivation was initiated by the inspiring words of our esteemed partners, Dr. Bert Wolfs, Academic Dean of SBS Swiss Business School, Dr. Raphael Lissilour, EMBA & DBA Program Director of IPAG Business School, and Dr. Augustina Akonnor, Deputy Rector of GIMPA. Their insights underscored the critical role of research and innovation in propelling economic progress.
The founder and president of NiBS, Prof. Kwaku Atuahene-Gima, challenged the graduates to make changes in their professions by sharing what they have learned.
Mr. Yofi Grant, CEO of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, and Prof. Ezer Osei Yeboah-Boateng, Deputy Director-General of the National Communications Authority (NCA), were special guest speakers who provided their insights on AI’s potential to transform industries and generate new opportunities.
At the ceremony’s conclusion, alumni president Dr. David Amoo-Osae, CEO of Movie House, and Alumni Vice President Dr. Martin Yamborigya, Head of Audit at the Ghana Revenue Authority, conducted a formal induction into the NiBS Alumni community.
The latest PhD, DBA, and DBL grads are prepared to make significant strides in their respective industries thanks to their extensive education and research experience. NiBS is proud of its accomplishments and believes in its ability to lead in creating a better future powered by AI.
