Reflecting on a Successful PhD Specialization Colloquium:

On September 1st and 2nd, 2023, students and faculty gathered for a significant event that illuminated the world of management studies. The PhD Specialization Colloquium, an academic seminar, was a two-day event highlighting our students’ expertise and our distinguished lecturers’ commitment. This event included five specialization courses: Marketing, Finance, Strategy and Innovation, Management, and Organizational Leadership, led by the brilliant minds of Dr. Edmund Nkrumah, Dr. Jewel Enyonam Ewoade, Dr. Abdul Hamid Kwarteng, Dr. Godfred Takyi, Dr. Senanu Klutse, and Dr. Bernard Tutu-Boahene.

The Specialization Colloquium served as a melting pot of ideas where students probed deeply into their respective research fields. It was an exceptional opportunity for them to demonstrate their expertise and contribute to advancing knowledge in their respective disciplines. The event was intended to evaluate students’ comprehension of their chosen specialization and encourage them to investigate the knowledge gaps their research sought to fill.

The student presentations were among the highlights of the colloquium. Each participant meticulously prepared and presented PowerPoint presentations with 5-10 slides.

The students’ insights into the ever-changing world of consumer behaviour and digital marketing strategies astounded us. Finance gurus educated us on the complexities of investment strategies and risk management. Strategy and Innovation students’ visions of future business landscapes sparked our imaginations. The Management devotees provided insightful perspectives on organizational dynamics, and the Organizational Leadership students inspired us with their ideas on effective leadership in today’s complex world.

The PhD Specialization Colloquium was a resounding success, and we extend our sincere gratitude to all those who made it possible. The dedication of our students, faculty, and esteemed professors to the pursuit of knowledge is genuinely admirable.
